Concern is spreading at Premier League giants Liverpool, owing to a lingering problem on the personnel front.
Jurgen Klopp’s troops, of course, are currently in the process of stepping up preparations for the new campaign.
After falling at the final hurdle in both the Premier League and Champions League this past season, the Reds will be desperate to go one better next time out, to reestablish themselves as the continent’s standout club.
Liverpool’s first-team squad, in turn, flew out to Thailand earlier this week, only to be put to the sword in convincing fashion by none other than Manchester United on Tuesday.

One member of Klopp’s ranks to have played no part in the club’s season opener in Bangkok, though, comes in the form of Diogo Jota.
And now, as alluded to above, concerns over the wellbeing of the Portuguese are beginning to spread.
Jota’s absence versus United, it is understood, came with the gifted attacker being eased back into the swing of things, after picking up a hamstring injury whilst on international duty earlier this summer.
In turn, the last thing which all associated with Liverpool would have wanted to hear of was the former Wolves star reaggravating the problem.
As per the reliable Ian Doyle, Jota was forced to pull out of training on Wednesday evening, culminating in a round of medical scans in Singapore earlier today.
This comes amid ‘fear the striker could again have damaged the hamstring he injured when on international duty with Portugal during the summer’.
It now remains to be seen whether or not this proves to be the case.
