The all-time top goalscorers in MLS history


Though it wasn’t scored under the circumstances he’d like, Kei Kamara’s goal in CF Montreal’s 2-1 defeat to Nashville sealed another little piece of history for the veteran striker.

Since joining the league in 2006, Kamara has played for nine different MLS teams and has always been a regular source of goals. The 37-year-old’s strike to halve Montreal’s deficit against Nashville – his third in just 612 minutes this season – on Wednesday moved him to 133 in regular-season play.

That ties Kamara for fourth on the all-time charts, level with legendary DC United forward Jaime Moreno. One more will see the former Sierra Leone international draw level in third with Columbus Crew icon Jeff Cunningham.
